São Pedro de Moel, Portugal 2026

FUJIFILM X-T20 – ( Fujifilm X-T20 with TTArtisan 25mm f/2 ) – post-production LIGHTROOM PRESET

I headed to the charming and distinctive coastal village of São Pedro de Moel, on Portugal’s central coast, to spend some time taking photographs.

São Pedro de Moel is one of those places that naturally invites photography. With its timeless atmosphere, elegant 1950s architecture, cobbled streets, and stunning views over the Atlantic Ocean, it’s easy to see why it has become one of my favourite places to walk with a camera.

What makes it even more special is the way the village blends into the surrounding pine forest, creating a unique contrast between the deep green of the trees and the endless blue of the ocean. Every corner offers something different, whether it’s the light reflecting off the white houses, the textures of the old stone streets, or the dramatic coastline shaped by the Atlantic.

It was the perfect place to continue getting to know the Fujifilm X-T20 and to see how it handles a mix of landscapes, architecture, and the ever-changing coastal light.

I’ve always had a passion for architecture, and the design language of the 1950s has a special appeal to me. São Pedro de Moel reflects much of that character, with its elegant lines, simple forms, and timeless coastal charm.

Walking through its streets is like stepping back in time. The architecture blends beautifully with the surrounding landscape, while the cobbled roads gradually open up to sweeping views of the Atlantic Ocean and the vast pine forest that embraces the village.

For anyone who enjoys photography, architecture, or simply discovering places with a unique identity, São Pedro de Moel is well worth a visit.
