I took this photograph from the Ebertsbrücke Bridge, on the eve of my departure to Alcobaça, Portugal, on a bicycle journey

There is something about Berlin that has always drawn me in. Perhaps it is the weight of its history, or the way the city carries the memory of Europe’s recent past while constantly reinventing itself. Berlin is restless, vibrant, and deeply alive.

During the three days I spent there, I chose to see the city in black and white. This series became the starting point of my journey a visual prologue to the road that lay ahead.
